As part of the Sirrah projekt team, Tering was responsible for designing the stadium\u2019s HVAC systems. Following our successful contribution to the construction of Opus Arena (Pampas) in Osijek, this is another major project that demonstrates our expertise in sports infrastructure design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Progress and Key Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The City of Zagreb announced that the new stadium would be completed by September 2026. It will be a modern sports venue meeting UEFA Category 4 requirements. The project is fully financed from the city budget, with a total value of \u20ac44 million including VAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-18x10.jpg 18w, https:\/\/tering.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/5_11__22-scaled.jpg 2560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Project Dates:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">November 2024: Launch of the public procurement procedure for the construction contractor.<br>February 2025: Opening of contractors\u2019 bids, ranging from \u20ac37 million to \u20ac42 million.<br>March 2025: Planned start of construction, with an 18-month programme.<br>September 2026: Planned opening of the stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical Characteristics of the Stadium<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new stadium will be fully covered and will offer significantly increased capacity:<br>Capacity: increased from 5,350 to 11,163 seats.<br>Heated hybrid pitch to optimise playing conditions.<br>A new 6,300 m\u00b2 square with 150 trees.<br>Parking: 404 car spaces, 606 bicycle spaces and 16 coach spaces.<br>Environmental features: an aluminium-profile fa\u00e7ade, rainwater-fed vertical gardens, a 1 MW solar power plant comprising 1,800 panels, and LED lighting designed to reduce light pollution.<br>Modern press facilities and VIP areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tering\u2019s Role in the Project<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tering prepared the main HVAC design for the building permit, as well as the detailed design and bill of quantities. The focus is on energy-efficient and sustainable solutions that will provide optimal conditions for athletes and spectators while reducing the stadium\u2019s overall energy consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project reinforces Tering\u2019s position as a regional leader in HVAC systems design. The new Kranj\u010devi\u0107eva Stadium will be more than a sports venue: it will be a modern urban space that enhances Zagreb\u2019s sports infrastructure and quality of life.
