We are pleased to announce that our designers Branimir Šegotić, MSc in Mechanical Engineering, and Ivan Gršeta, MSc in Mechanical Engineering, have successfully obtained EU Taxonomy Consultant certification.
This professional qualification confirms their ability to integrate EU Taxonomy requirements into design and consulting processes, with a particular focus on energy-efficient and sustainable technical systems in buildings.
The EU Taxonomy is the European Union’s regulatory framework defining technical criteria for determining whether economic activities are sustainable. In construction and building services, it encompasses a broad range of requirements—from reducing CO₂ emissions, improving energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources to circular materials management and climate-change adaptation.
With this newly acquired expertise, our consultants can provide additional professional support in assessing whether design solutions comply with EU Taxonomy criteria, further enhancing the quality and sustainability of TERING’s projects.
This step continues our ongoing development in sustainable design, building on previously acquired qualifications such as DGNB Consultant certification.
In practice, TERING applies EU Taxonomy principles when developing energy-efficient heating, cooling and ventilation systems, optimizing energy consumption through BIM modelling, and assessing system life cycles. This ensures that our projects not only comply with current regulations but also actively contribute to climate-neutrality and sustainable-construction goals.
We are proud of our team and their commitment to applying advanced technical and regulatory standards in their everyday work.
