Construction and reconstruction work is underway on the five-star Valamar Collection Rab Resort, located on the wooded Suha Punta peninsula just five kilometres from the town of Rab. The project is set to position the island among the most desirable family holiday destinations on the Adriatic.
This ambitious transformation and refurbishment of the existing holiday complex includes converting Eva Sunny Hotel & Residence into the luxury Valamar Collection Rab Resort, further establishing Rab as a prestigious destination for today’s travellers. The investment is valued at an estimated €54 million, with completion of the first phase and the resort opening planned for summer 2025.

For this project, our company was responsible for the complete mechanical design documentation for the heating, cooling and ventilation systems. From concept and main design through the tender bill of quantities to the final detailed design and construction bill of quantities, our expert team supported every stage of project delivery.
In addition to preparing the design documentation, our company was engaged to manage the DGNB pre-certification and certification processes and related activities, with the aim of achieving a higher-quality DGNB rating. The scope includes certification services, DGNB assessments and the calculations required using DGNB tools and other tools aligned with DGNB requirements.
The architectural and structural design was prepared by Studio 92 d.o.o. of Labin. Our task was to provide optimal mechanical engineering solutions that meet the latest technological standards and ensure a comfortable, energy-efficient stay for guests. We paid particular attention to integrating systems that support sustainability and reduce the building’s energy demand, allowing the resort to blend harmoniously with the natural environment of Suha Punta.

Through the Valamar Collection Rab Resort project, the island of Rab is setting new standards in family tourism. The investment will not only enhance the island’s visitor offering but also create jobs and support the local economy.
